Something extra has seeped into my life these days. Pokémon didn’t come along till I was already in Atlanta. I had no idea what it was when I first heard it. Once the cards started selling like crazy at the WB Studio Store, I realized it was something huge…and I wasn’t wrong. It’s been going strong since I found it in 1999.
I downloaded the Pokémon Go app years ago while walking around the city. I got hooked on it for a while and then I decided to cut everything off that took time from doing other things I wanted to do. My online presence greatly decreased.
Here lately, I’ve had a resurgence of Pokémon. The app is up and running and now, cards have been introduced and competing has started. I’ve played a few games with the actual cards but there’s also the TCG app for the phone. You buy a pack of cards or a created deck and a card will be included with a QR code to scan on the Pokémon website. It will add all the cards in that pack/deck to your cards in the app. It’s a cool thing.
Today, I bought a new electric deck with an awesome Zapdos EX card. It’s a powerful card as long as you have enough energy to assign to it. But more about that later.
